I really do not want to be at work anymore! And I find it pointless to be here when I really have nothing to do!! Not including to day, I have four more days left. Grrr.. I was really not wanting to come in next week, but what can I do?

Not to mention the fact that I have a splitting headache!!! I took two advils, now let's see what happens.....

I am not really sure how I am going to like being unemployeed. I think I will enjoy it for a week or so, but then I have a feeling I will be quite bored! hmpf. I hate job hunting. I have been looking online and applying for lot's of jobs. I have yet to hear back from anyone! although, I have not checked my mail since Saturday, since it is in Alameda. I will do that on Friday. Hopefully there will be something from the city of Fremont!! Woohoo!!!

Well, I do have pics from the big move, unfortunately, they too are in Alameda. I left my memory stick in Daren's computer. So, pictures next week.

Grrr.... headache still here.

Well, things did not go exactly as planned this weekend, but in the end, it all worked out.

It started on Saturday, we picked up the truck, which by the way, we all thought was WAY TOO BIG except for Daren. He was right. I have a ton of crap. We went to mom's to get my stuff from there, she offered to help us move. Luckily we agreed. We could'nt have done it without her. Not because we had a lot to move, because we did, but because the alley where we were parked was crawling with homeless people. So, we needed on person to stay in the truck. Needless to say it took much longer than we expected.

After clearing out the apartment, we went to a local burger joint, Ford's with my mom and gramps and gorged on delicious onion rings, burgers and shakes. Then it was time to hit the road to Alameda. We arrived at the storage place at 5:10pm. They closed at 5pm. AARRRRGGGHHHHHH

After much stressing we went back Daren's (mine now too) and unloaded what we could of the stuff that was staying there. The computer desk, the computer, the chest of drawers, etc... Then, Daren being the sweetie that he is, made me a martini (he made himself one too) and we relaxed a bit by playing the sims. It is much easier to move a sim than a person, let me tell you!!!

When the martinis were drained, we began work on the house. Actually, it was rather nice that the storage unit was closed because we were able to unpack all of the boxes and rearrange the house to accomadate two people. Let me tell you, it looks way better! after that, and some wine, we ordered the best pizza!! A-Town pepperoni, artichoke heart and green pepper!! YUM! we settles in to watch Holy Grail (we have tried twice before, but I kept falling asleep) but, low and behold, Daren fell asleep!!

Sunday morning, we were not inthe mood for heavy lifting at all!! We got our butts motivated and ached through unloading the truck at the storage. As it turned out, we would've had to have been at the unit by 4 day before. So we never would've made it. We went back home and had the tv to deal with. LUCKILY for me, a friendly neighbor took my spot onthe lifting! woohoo!!

Then off to return the truck. Arrive at "CRAP ASS" Budget at 1pm on Sunday afternoon. They close at noon. WHo the hell closes at noon on a weekend!!??!! So, more stress and calling budget trying to locate another dropoff place. One on San Pablo. We get lost, finally make it over there. it's 2:45.

We realize we are never going to make it backto Sac by 4 (earlier Daren had decided we didn't have the energy toclean my place, so he hired someone to come at 4) in our rush, we had forgotten who we had called. we haulled ass to Sac, stopping for spluge nuggets as Daren called. You may know them as McDonald's cheeseburgers.

Luckily we get a call saying the cleaning service is running late! WiiGii!!!

in the end, it all worked out, and I got the full deposit back! Yay! But I am so sore and tired, and still recovering!

Hiddy Ho!!!!

Well, it's the final countdown!!! Saturday, the apartment will be clear! I will take some pics of the move. UGH. Well, we got all the boxes down last weekend. And, amazingly, Daren's apartment has plenty of storage! All the boxes fit! woohoo!!! However, we do need to unload the ones in the kitchen and decide what needs to go where. I think we might take some over to the storage unit we got last weekend.

So, here's the plan! Saturday, load the uhaul with all the furniture. Then down to the storage unit. Then drop the truck off. Then RELAX!!!!!!! Movies and port are on the agenda!!!!

THEN, unfortunately, come back Sunday for a day of cleaning. UGH.

But it will be nice to be out of my oven before summer!!! WooHoo!!!!

Then, only two weeks until I am permanently in Alameda. I am happy. And yes, there is a movie of me trying to tackle the spider roll!! heehee After Sushi we went to McGees for shuffleboard and beer. Then to Alameda Billards for pool and beer. I was wiped out!

Saturday was relaxing. had a yumalicious onion bagel with olive spread and a B Monster. Needed to replenish my nutrients and stuff. When I was a kid, time went by so slowly. I really wish I could go back to feeling that way. I can't believe I have to be out of my apartment in 2 weeks! Before I know it Iwill be without a job (hopefully not for long), in a new town, a new place, living with someone. It's a big change. Exciting, but scary. But, I am really looking forward to it. I am so tired of driving back and forth. It's gonna be so nice!!!

So, tonight, we are going to sushi! I want a sake bomb. I have never had one. Heehee. Then tomorrow, Laura Daren and I are going to see Big Fish. and Sat night, Daren and I are going to the Glenn Miller Orchestra Swing Dance on the Hornet!! I hope I can remember all the dance steps!

AND I can't believe I am going to be an aunt. My little neice will be here before I know it!!!

All these changes.

Well, obviously I am not much of a blogger. I just don't seem to have the time to keep up with it for one thing, and for another, I don't really ever have anything exciting to say. But yet, here I am again, typing away.

I need sit down and go through all of my stuff. I know I need to get rid of half of it. Moving will force me to do this, I keep telling myself. But I don't have that much longer before I do move! I need boxes. Then I can start to go through stuff. Work on one thing a night. Like tonight, do the closet. or something.

I still don't know what I am going to do about a job. Everyone I know says the jobmarket sucks. Great. But I must say, I am not too happy with my current position, so I guess it's not all bad. There is always temp work. Or Starbucks.

So long since I have written!!! It's just been so busy!!

Well, Christmas was awesome! I had a wonderful dinner with mom and Ricky on Christmas Eve. Venison with parsnips crisps, lobster, avacado and grapfruit salad, oysters casinos. Needless to say, a lot of food! But it was wonderful.

Then a mouthwatering brunch at laura's! Pierogis, squash casserole, smoked salmon strata, Zingerman's. Yum yum yum. I got some good presents too! A bean necklace from Tiffany's (from mom), an awesome sweater from Laura, a video card from Daren and a fun video game from Ricky.

It was nice to visit with my family, I ate lunch with Grandpa and listen to info about his trip to the rose bowl parade (he is there now with mom) as well as getting updated on the latest gossip. He is so good at that. Daren and Oliver showed up and I was so happy that Daren got to spend Christmas with Oliver. I wish he could spend more time with him. I know that as Oliver gets older, he will.

tomorrow is New Year's eve. Daren and I are going with Rich and Maria to Kelly's for an elegant dinner and live music! Should be fun. I can't wait!!!

This year sure has flown by! I can't believe Christmas is in 5 days!!!! Hopefully things will slow down some next year.

Well, I am finished with class!!! WOOHOOO!!!!! Technically I have one more to go, but it's not being offered. What can I do? I will try to get the certificate anyway, since I do have my LSIT.

Last night, mom took me out for a little congratulations/early christmas surprise. And what a surprise it was! She took me to her favorite Day Spa and we got winter warm ups. they were nice. An herbal wrap and a light massage. VERY RELAXING! She got a great deal on them, and although they were nice, we were both glad we didn't have to pay full price! Then afterwards we went to PF CHangs (which just opened up here in town). I am glad I tried it, but I don't think I will go back. It was too noisy and crowded and seems to be the place for gay men to hang out and make out in. But the food was good. We had catfish, coconut curried veggies and tofu, seared ahi and garlic noodles. The noodles, in my opinion were like top ramen. Everything else though was good. And for desert, Banana Spring rolls and coconut ice cream. YUM.

It's Friday!!!
Yay!!

So, I've got a somewhat busy weekend ahead of me. After work tonight is a Baby shower for one of my coworkers (she has been out for 6 months due to comlications). I think she is lucky to still have a job. Anyway, she had a girl.

Then tomorrow, Crista is having a tree triming party. It starts at 5. We won't be able to stay long due to the fact that my company christmas party starts at 6.

Then, on Sunday, the plan is to go to the snow for snowboarding and skiing. Woohoo!!

At some point in this weekend, I must finish up my final. I plan on working on it during my spare time at work today and Monday. My hope is to have it done by Monday so that I can turn it in and be done with the class!!! Woohoo!!!! My biggest problem is getting started. It's hard to get motivated. Once I start, it won't be that bad. And actually, I have already a few problems.

I feel like I have no time. I work. On Monday's and Wedensdays, I have school and don't get home until around 10pm ( and I go there straight from work). The weekends I am usually in the bay area. That leaves Tuesday and Thursday for "me time". However, it seems things keep coming up so I don't really get me time. I need to clean my house. I will try to do the bathroom tonight and the rest tomorrow after work. It's so easy to be lazy when it's dark and wet out. All I really want to do is snuggle up with a video game or book. I keep telling myself it will be easier when I move. I will be done with school. I won't have to be packing and unpacking all the time. I can't wait.

We went to Fat's Asian Bistro for our holiday lunch today. It was good, but there were a lot of people, so I only talked with the ones who were around me. Here's my fortune: You are soon going to change your present line of work.

Hmmmm... I used to not believe these, but now I am thinking I may have to change my mind.

hmmm it's a dreary Tuesday morning, so I am going to talk about something I love. FOOD!

I had some really wonderful stuff this weekend. I talked about the Cioppino and the cheeses, but I didn't mention the dinner we had at Bimbo's. Surf and Turf. A filet mignon, asparagus, risotto and sea bass. mmmmm.. The apps their were great too! crad wontons, figs stuffed with gorganzola and walnuts, crustinis with carmalized onions, asparagus wrapped in procuitto, potato pancakes with smoked salmon. And the latest thing in "gourmet" apps: cones. They had Tuna Tartar cones and mushroom cones. The tuna was better, in my humble opinion. heehee. Laura mom and I had cones at Red Herring, an awesome fish house in the City. They are basically a deep fried wonton wrapper shapped like a cone and stuff with yummy treats. The one we had at red herring had lobster, avacado and tobiko (Japanese caviar). Ahhhhhh

Sunday night Mom, Daren and I went to Speisekammer (too bad Laura and Chris couldn't join us). Mom had roasted goose, which none of us have had before, and I must say quite delicious.

Last night, mom made for me (when I was finished with my class) a pan roast. I love seafood stews!!! I have beenvery lucky this weekend. First Laura's cioppino, then the pan roast.

A pan roast for those who don't know is a tomato and cream based broth with crab, mussels, shrimpies, clams and oysters. It is very much like cioppino, only the pan roasts have cream. Perfect for a cold winter's night.

Last night, Daren saw Mercury. I tried, but there were too many trees. Maybe tonight.

On a final note:

I AM SORRY D FOR GIVING YOU MY COLD!!!! It shouldn't last long thouhg, mine didn't.

Since I have been very busy lately, I have had almost no time to blog. I will try to do better at updating my blog.

Friday, I was not feeling good at all! I left work around 9:30 -10am, went straight to Daren's and slept until 5pm!! Boy did that help! I would've slept longer, only I had a dinner date with the ladies at 5:30. And believe you me, it was worth getting up for! Laura made a delicious cioppino that everyone went gaga over! And we had so much fun exchanging gifts and joking with each other.

Saturday was Daren's work Christmas party. Although I was sick, I slept and relaxed and took meds before hand. I am so glad I did because I really had a wonderful time! We started off at a preparty and even though it was raining, we were able to find a parking spot, in the Haight (SF) right on the same block as the party! What luck! After champagne and wonderful cheeses (defintely not trader joes, I am talking high class cheese) we headed over to Bimbo's 365 club. Which was a beautiful 1940's supper club. We were wined and dined and danced until we were out of breath. it was awesome!

It's been forever since I have blogged! So busy with the holiday season. I have most of my shopping done. Just need a few more things. Thank god I get paid on Friday.

So, Daren and I went to Disneyland and Medieval Times last weekend. We had a BLAST! Daren had never been to either one. He was really impressed with MT. We had awesome seats, the second row from the floor. And at Disneyland, I bought D some mouse ears with his name on the back and made him wear them all day. Heehee (I had some myself!)

Now it's back to the daily grind. It's hard working a full week after two weeks of half weeks.

Thanksgiving was a great day! I spent some time with my aunt and her family. It was a little chaotic what with Henry laying in doorways, but all together nice. Then I went to my friend's Rich and Maria's house. That was a lot of fun, and the first time I have not spent thanksgiving entirely with family.

Everyone but me has been sick lately and I am trying my best not to get it! Although, I have an irritated throat this morning. I am drinking Trader Joe's Super C and ecinacea tea. THis had better work!!!

Well, it's back to the old grinding stone for me!

Ciao!

I hate junk mail. In both formats. I hate the fact that I open my email and I have 50+ junks, everyday. I hate when I open my "snailmail" box and it's overflowing with credit card applications and ads. EVERY SINGLE DAY! Why am I bombarded with so much junk!? I already have enough of my own that I need to clean out. Luckily, moving will force me to do so.

So, it's Wednesday. WOOHOO! I have class tonight. BLAH. Actually, Monday's class was interesting and I actually enjoyed it. For the first time this semester. It was amazing. All my friends agreed too! Hopefully tonight will be the same.

I can't believe November is almost over. One more week. It flew by. Tomorrow, Laura, Mom and I are going to the City for a little girls outing. It will be fun to stay in a nice hotel (for free! Hilton points ROCK!) and be with mom and laura. It's been awhile since we've had a girl weekend.

Next week is Thanksgiving. Then, D and I are headed down south for a little weekend vacation. Look out SoCal, here we come!! It started off rather dull (lot's of traffic, Daren working until 8) but it picked up! Friday night I made spaghetti. Afterwards we headed to the island to meet up with Jenny Ryan. That was really nice, since I haven't seen her in what seems like forever. Saturday I had a wonderful tea party with Maria, Julie and Laura. Too bad I wasn't dressed up. Everyone else had. I am a loser. Oh well, it was still a lot of fun! We made too much food, oh well. My fixins made a great breakfast for Sunday morning (smoked salmon, cucumbers, onions, peppers - YUM!). Saturday night, D and I went to Speisekammer. This is only my 3rd time going, and I must say, it was absolutely WONDERFUL! We had boots of beer, beets, potato pancakes with applesauce. I had wild boar in beer sauce with spaetzle and roasted parsnips. I have determined that parsnips are my new favorite root veggies. Sorry sweet potatoes. Daren had tri tip in a horseradish cream sauce that was to die for. Both meats were so tender, you could cut them with a fork. After the delicious dinner, we got movies and I passed out halfway into the first one. Sunday was spent at the Imax seeing the new Matrix movie with Joe and Daren. Then some hyperbowling. Daren got his first win! WooHoo! This was Joe's first time, and he won too! I was the big loser of the games. Oh well, it was fun!

I stopped by to see Laura and pick up my car (she had been using it while Chris was reenacting). As I got into the seat, there was a cute card waiting for me, and some really pretty barrets!! I can't wait to wear them! Thanks, Laura!

Well, things did not exactly as planned. Grrr...

Well, I suppose I should start my work now.

BLog Blog blog blog. I am singing the song of blog today! Hurray! So, I am very excited! Tonight, mom and I are going to Simon and Garfunkel. I can't wait. I know it will be awesome. Not only that, we have box seats. WOOHOO!!! so exciting!

I don't want to be at work today. I haven't wanted to be at work very much lately. I think I need a change. But it's hard. I hate job hunting. And I make good money and have good benefits. Grrr... I hate decisions. :P

Right now, I really want to go home, lay on the couch and play some Zelda. take a nap. snuggle with my little ginger muffin. BAH HUMBUG. Instead, I get to go to the dentist in an hour to have a cavity filled. I think there is a conspiracy or a scam going on at my dentist's office. The last time I went for a check up, I had a cavity. It actually still bothers me. I think I will have him look at it. This time I go in and I have another one. BUT, I don't feel this one at all!!!

WooHoo!! It's Monday and I am a happy girl! Why? well..... I have no class tonight! YAY! So, I am going to the movies with my mom. We are gonna see Runaway Jury. Sounds fun!

I am also happy because I am skipping class on Wednesday to see Simon and Garfunkel! Very excited about that!

Then on Thursday, I have an Indian cooking class. YUM!!!

But in addition to all of that, I really had a wonderful weekend! Limon was awesome! I had Halibut on a bed of seafood (mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp and scallops). So good! Saturday I had breakfast with Chris and Laura and Joe at Alberts, which is always tasty! It was good to see Laura. Since she works nights, it's hard to visit. So I was really happy when they agreed to come to breakfast with us. I had a bacon cheeseburger and Laura had a ham and fried egg sandwhich! She wasn't feeling too good, but in my opinion, she looked good (and cute in her overalls and pigtails). Daren had seen her the night before and said she looked plain miserable (he could tell she was feeling under the weather). After the yummy breakfast we headed over to the Fu Clan House for some PR and Dracula with Julie and Eric. Catch phrase of the day : Beakless Force feed chickens. HAHAHHAHAHAHA

After that, D and I went to sushi. Mmmmmm.......... need I say more? Then drove to Sac (inthe rain) where D hooked up his nintendo and I played Zelda all night! This is a game I think Laura would enjoy. I am little male elf (who I think is gay) and I got this mirror that transported me to another dimension, where my "true form" (what I feel in my heart) is revealed, and I have now been turned into a pink bunny in a dress (hence the gay part). this game is VERY addiciting. I dreamt about it, then woke up and immediately started playing. But I did break for lunch with mom at Hoppy. YUm. Then D and I went to the Ski swap to get D a snowboard (which he did, and it is awesome!).

I like relaxing weekends.

Friday morning.

Sitting here, sipping coffee, eating my Blueberry Medley cereal. Erin and I bought an Ice Cream cake from Albertsons. Turtle. Can't wait to dig into it!

The nice thing about my job is that for the most part, it's laid back. Sometimes, I am on a deadline. But most of the time I can take it easy and not rush through things. Right now I am working on a project (That I never wanted to work on) that is driving me insane. But I am waiting to hear back from the Lawyer, and until then, there is nothing I can do. WooHOO!

I am super excited about tonight! He says to me, He (meaning Roy, our boss) has a file for Alaska. I say, yes? I suppose he may have done some work up there. Alfred just sits there looking rather lost. I then say, it is a state. After about a minute he says, I know it's a state, but it's not part of the United States. I say, yes it is. He says, REALLY? When I went into the actual program file and looked at the save game file, it was empty!!! AARRGGGHHHH!!!!!

So, now I am playing the longest journey. And Grim Fandango. In Grim, I am stuck in the woods. I have to figure out what to do with a wheelbarrow and a generator. I just can't think of what to do! I am tempted to look at a cheat. In the longest journey, I am progressing steadily. Just figured out how to use the subway! WooHoo! I also have a game of heroes (but I haven't been in the mood) and Myst. But Myst is very complicated. But maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Two more days until the weekend! Woohooo!!! I can't wait.

Wow! Almost a week since I have written, I've been kinda busy. Can you tell?
Last Wednesday and Thursday I was in Sonora, surveying. And on Friday, I was busily trying to get all my crap done. I am just now putting the finishing touches on it! Luckily I do not have to go into work tomorrow. I am going to a GPS seminar instead. WooHoo!

So much for my points. I am being totally bad and having safeway chinese food for lunch. But in all honesty, I don't care. I do watch what I eat. I do get excerise. I am happy. So why torture myself. If I want chinese, I am getting chinese. If I want a pan roast , I am getting a pan roast.

Speaking of pan roasts, I went to Donner Lake and did a 4 mile hike with my mom on Sunday. Then we headed to Reno where we both won about $100 on roulette! And to celebrate we had pan roasts and cajun martinis. Yum!

Daren is Sweden and won't be back until Sunday night. He seems to be having a great time with Oliver! And I am happy that he gets to spend some time with him. But I am also a little sad and I miss him. But at least he calls and emails! So, that makes it easier.

I have to get my butt in shape for the Run to Feed the Hungry. It's a race I do every year on Thanksgiving ( I do it for fun, not to win, I am not that good!) My mom has been training by walking at least a mile every day. Good for her! I am sure I will do fine.

Greetings and salutations!

When I first woke up this morning, I thought, hmmm... I think I will do pilates. But then, bed seemed so much nicer. So I rolled over, snuggled with my kitty and went back to bed. But now, sitting here at work. I am feeling very guilty. I think I will go on a bike ride after work, then do some pilates when I get home. To stretch and relax. I must say, yoga and pilates really does relax me. And it's been so long since I've done either! I need to start working out again. I have also decided to start counting my weight watchers points. I like weight watchers because you can eat WHATEVER you want. You just have to watch portions and points. So, starting today, I am counting. I want to loose about 10 pounds. Maybe 15. But I would be happy with 10.

Tomorrow I get to go out in the field on a survey job. I am excited because I love going out and doing the physical work. I am a little bummed because the client called and wants to be there. Great. I will have some nimrod following me around, looking over my shoulder asking what have you found out? Nothing yet dork head! Go bug someone else! Grrr.....

I signed up today for a cooking class at the co-op. I have never taken a class there before. But I have eaten in their cafeteria (And it is good!) and I have shopped there (which reminds me, they used to have this Ben and Jerry's ice cream called something or other Brittian and it was vanillia with choco covered shortbread! So yummy!). The class I am taking is called Indian Feast. It's $45 and we will make about 4 dishes and then eat them. I think that is a good price. If I like the class, I will probably sign up for more! There was this one called international appetizers (duck spring rolls with hoisen dipping sauce was one of them!) YUM!

Happy Monday!

Although, I am not sure what is so happy about it. I would rather be in bed reading. But alas, I am here. On the plus side, all of my supervisors are gone today, so I am in charge. WooHoo!!

I have been thinking, I am so busy. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have class from 6-10. And there is absolutely no time to go home between work and school, which really bites. So, Monday and Wednesdays are out. That leaves Tuesdays and Thursdays to do stuff. I want to go on more bike rides. I love riding my bike. I have a beautiful cruiser. I need to use it! I also have to get the basket fixed on that. I want to go on more rides on the weekends also.

Also, what with the busy schedule, I am not cooking as much I as used to. I love cooking, so I have to get back into that. It's fall now, and if it weren't for global warming (my guess- heehee)making the temperatures 88+, I'd be making stews and meatloaf and crockpot dishes. But I think I will make them any way. There are some great Weight Watchers crockpot recipes. Also, my new cooking light has a whole section on crockpots. The crockpot will be great because I can just dump everyhting in in the morning, then when I come home, dinner is made. I can clean and do stuff around the house, and then relax and eat. I think that will be perfect!

HELLO!!!

I realize I haven't blogged since Monday, but I have been pretty busy. I get to go out next week on a survey in Sonora, CA - my hometown! Or close to at least.

So, I went to the ATM today, and guess what! I HAVE 2 BRAND SPANKING NEW $20 bills!!
Woohoo!!! They are weird. The edges are green (normal) but the center is peach, with a blue eagle, the green kinda fades into the peach. very odd looking, but cool!

So, tonight it Ladies Night. It's been awhile since we've had one. It will be fun to hang with the ladies and eat. Mmmmm food. Laura is making a London Broil with gorgonzola cream sauce and Julile is making a salad. The only thing I had to do was bring tomatoes - home grown of course! and bread from the bakery next door! I got sourdough, ladies.

Not much else to talk about. I have been playing Grim Fandango, and every night I get a little bit farther, up to a point where I get stuck. I quit for the night, then the next night, I figure it out and move a little bit further. I am also playing the longest Journey, And I am tryig to find cortez, I need to take the subway, but I have no money. I will have to solve this problem the next time I play! I am also playig Deus Ex. I need more ammo. I keep dying. I have put Heroes and Myst on hold for the time being. But I will get back into them! I want to find my Sam and Max cd and see if it will run on my computer (XP) I found Day of the tentacle- I will try that one too!!!

Well, I am off for now! More blogging later!

No peachy $20 bills for me! :o(

I will keep trying.

So, I had a wonderful weekend!! I had the most delicous dinner on Friday - SUSHI!!!! Which I just love!! The Lion King (Melt in your mouth divinity), The Spider Roll (Crunchy goodness known as crab - need I say more?), The Highway (a spicey deep fried heaven) and we had a special. I can't remember what it was called, but it was fish with garlic and ginger and it was awesome! Usually our sushi chef will give us a drink or an extra sushi gift, but he was not there on Friday. But that is okay, it was still wonderful!

Afterwards, we saw some of the gang at the Island. It was great to hang out. I haven't done that in a long time.

We were going to go to the Hornet for a swing dance on Saturday night, but we were too worn out from the night before and cleaning all day. So we took it easy, had DET Burgers, fries and Chocolate shakes and watched movies!

Sunday was my first opera! And let me tell you this, just because it was in Livermore, does not make it any less appealing than if it were in San Francisco. It was truly amazing! We saw Tosca, and I really liked the story line, a very strong woman (if not a little niave). And Sara MacBride, who played Tosca, had such a brilliant, strong voice! Ahhhh it was awesome. I think we are going to see Madam Butterfly in March. I cannot wait!

Well, I am almost to my second cup of coffee, my bagel is in my belly, I think it's almost time for me to get back to work.

CIAO!

If I go to the ATM today, will I get a peachy $20 bill? I will have to check this out!

So, we are having computer problems today. My coworker's monitor went out. So we switched it with one belonging to someone who is not here, and it didn't work. So we tried a third one, and it finally worked. What are the odds of 2 monitors going out?!?!

So, I am planning my weekend meals. Friday night, I plan on having Nicoise Salad. I think I will go to TJ's or the grocery store in Alameda, instead of here. The salad won't take long to make. Although, I will probably do the eggs ahead of time. Then on Saturday, I will make DET burgers. D loves them, but I have never had them. If I ever get to go to Ann Arbor, I will defintely visit the Del Rio Bar, along with numerous other places I have heard so much about!

Of course, my menu could change, if for instance I fly to New Orleans, then it's po boys, muffalettas and soft shell crabs! Yummy! Although, I highly doubt that will happen. :p

Hola!!

Well, it looks as though Arnie has made it as governor. BLAH.

In better news, Daren and I have a fun filled weekend in front of us! We are "deep cleaning" hi apartment. Woo Hoo!!! And, on Saturday night, we are going to a dance on the Hornet. I found the CUTEST dress at Ross. It fit perfectly too. In the waist that is. It's strapless and when I tried to zip it up, my boobs were too big. Grrrr... I am now on a Ross mission. I need to find my dress in a size 13 and hope it fits. We are also going to the Opera on Sunday. Again, I found the perfect dress at Ross. Only this time, it fit! I also got some real dance shoes at capezio.

In other news, it seems the scab inside my nose has FINALLY healed. I know it's not completely healed, but I know it will be by the weekend!!! I am sooo happy!

Well, I suppose that is all for now. CIAO!

I thought I should mention the house we stayed in in Capitola. First of all, it is the nicest house we have stayed in in Capitola. When we arrived there was a wine, cheese and fruit plate waiting for us. YUMMY! then the master bath had a jacuzzi tub and monsoon shower, it was divine! I loved the decor, especially the loft bathroom. A tiled sink with a mermaid and fishie drawer pulls. It also had a nice balcony with a gas grill, but we never had the opportunity to use that. We did however have two excellent meals! Rosa's (always super yummy) and a new Italian joint called Bella Roma. Mmmmmmm....

Well, class time is drawing nearer. My problem with class is that it eats up most of my time. I have to go there straight from work, and I am there until usually 10, mondays and wednesdays. So I have no time to go looking for shoes to wear to the dance on the Hornet this weekend or to stop by a community center and pick up a parks and rec brochure. Instead, I have to do everything (including laundry and cleaning) on one evening - Tuesdays. Blah. I will happy when December rolls around. Right now, I want to sleep. I guess I should hit Starbucks before class.

Howdy and happy Monday! Although, I don't know what is so happy about it. I am at work, and I am tired. I would really love to go home and play video games and read my book. But alas, I am stuck at work, with School afterwards. BLAH

Well, my weekend was good, but a littel hectic. It was nice to see the fam, and I thought my grandmother's memorial went well, if not a little long. But overall, it was nice. I didn't get to do everything I wanted to this weekend, but that is okay. There will be plenty more weekends ahead of me.

I am blogging from my MAC since my PC is busy burning and printing. The setup (of the blogger) is very different from the PC.

I suppose not more is new. I wish I had brought my book to work today. I finished Chapterhouse Dune, and am now going to start foundation. I also cannot wait to start my new video game, Grim Fandango!! but that will probably be tomorrow night.

TTFN!

Hola!
Well, today is Thursday and I don' thave to go to work tomorrow!! WOoHOO!!!
Although, the reason is nothihg to cheer about. About a year ago my grandmother passed away due to Stomach Cancer. So, this weekend (Saturday) we are celebrating her life and grieving her death. It should be very nice. We are going to be in a place my grandmother loved, surrounded by the people she loved and who loved her. I know some people will find this traumatizing, but I think it will be nice. Tomorrow, I will be helping prepare the food and get everything just right. Somehow, I think I will also have to play the role of bartender. Maybe I should bring my special purple martini mixin's. Or maybe not. :p

HowD!!!

Whew, this morning flew by! I love it! What I don't love, however is stupid people! And let me tell you, the person I have been named supervisor to, is dumber than a box of hammers! I asked him for an invoice today, and he had no clue what an invoice was. He then was unable to determine the difference between a State agencey and Federal agencey. I tell ya, this job /person is really testing my patience!!!!! It's not easy!

So, other than that, I've still got the nose thing, although, I must say, I feel that it won't be long now! THANK GOD!!

I also am a little dry in the throat. Let's just hope it's not a cold coming on. I've got class tonight, and really don't want to go. But what can I do? I have to go. I just wish, for once, that we get out early. Although, I poured it an hour ago. Oh well, I guess that what microwaves are for. I was just reading over a "newsletter" that came with my paystub (payday was Friday and I am already close to broke - I love it!) and apparently beginning January 1, 2004, we are going to have a new prescription drug plan. I wonder what that means. Will I still have Kaiser? Sometimes, I hate changes.

Well, I see my attempt to post a picture has flopped. I haven't had time to work on that. Someday I will figure it out. I have class tonight. I enjoy the class in the fact that we do problems that I know will be useful to me in the future, however, I dislike the fact that I have to go Monday and Wednesday from 6-10. That means I go straight from work, and don't get home until 10ish. By that time, I am wiped out and usually a little annoyed at how late it is. Then, I have no time to do anything, but usually want to, so I stay up till midnight or so. And then of course the next morning I am wiped out. BLAH. I can't wait until December.

So now, here I am work, desperatly trying to figure out what to do for next weekend. It would be easiest to just ride down with my mom, but I want to play Frisbee Golf on Sunday (or possibly even go surfing) and I don't want my mom to have to wait around. So, I guess I will drive my own car. One added bonus, I got Fastrak, so that will be sooo nice as I cross over the bridge. ahhhhh...

I know I need to do my midterm. Two problems left. I think I will do that after I finish here and before I start on a new project. I do like the freedom I have with my job.

Today's blog has no order whatsoever. Perfect for a Monday morning.

So, on Friday, I barbequed. I am so proud. I actually got the coals lit all by myself, and my chicken came out perfect!! WOOHOO!!! But, I am sick of my apartment. I want a house. And I want to own it. But it's so frustrating because I cannot afford one. even the houses in the Ghetto are out of my price range. And I look at the affordable housing prices and guess what - NOPE! I suppose those prices are for familys or couples, but what about us unfortunate souls who are not getting paid some outrageous amount and don't have "dual incomes"? Are we just supposed to suffer through small hot apartments? I guess so. But I do really want a house, with a garden. And I want a dog and space for Ginger to not have to have a litter box. Well, I guess I should just stop here because the list of my wants and desires just goes on from here. And I really cannot at this point see myself ever getting that. BLAH.

I am testing to see if this works. I had a tuna melt. Yum. Last night, before class, I was sleepy and super hot!! let me just say this, on Sunday night, at 9pm, it was 94 degrees!!!! Anyway, before class, I stopped at Java City and got a javalanche (their version of Fraps). Well, the last time I had a coffee drink at Java City, I puked. It was a mocha and I really haven't had one since. Remember Laura? Anyway, towards the end of class last night, I started to feel like I was gonna throw up! So, I don't know if it's Java City or just a coincidence, since the sandwich I had eaten for lunch did give me a little bit of an intestinal problem. heehee

Well, no matter, I feel fine now. I get to go surveying tomorrow! Woohoo! I am going to Oroville and spending the night. Thank god the hotel has a pool!!

I need to figure out how to post pics. The rest of the Zion pics will be ready on Friday and it would be nice to post my death defying trek to the waterfall!

Helllooooooo!!!!!!

I am back from a wonderful weekend in Sea Ranch! What a gorgeous place!! Let's see, we (Jesse, Rick, Daren and I ) helped Jackie (Daren and Jesse's mom) move up there. Friday we unloaded her from her Berkeley apartment (I hate those stairs!!) and dropped some stuff off in Richmond. El Cerito has really built up!! There is a shopping center on San Pablo with a Trader Joes and a Macaroni Grill. I swear the last time I was there it was the Ghetto!!!

We stopped for lunch at this place called the Washoe Hotel just outside of Petaluma. It was cute. It reminded me of Al the Whops in the Delta. The ceiling was covered with dollar bills. I had a very tasty ruben, but Daren's looked better. A huge turkey and bacon club with a salad of iceburg lettuce, kidney beans and ranch.

Back on the road. D and I were in the rental truck. Thank god it was automatic!! The drive was just beautiful!!! And we had the portable cd player with us, so that was extra nice!

Friday night we sipped martinis as we sat on the deck overlooking the ocean. Then had a wonderful dinner of lavender steak, corn on the cob and salad with heirloom tomatoes (and some really yummy wine!) Since Jesse and Rick don't drink, they had sparkling cider. Let me say this, sparkling has really evolved since I was a kid and the only option was apple. they now have pear, rasberry and many more!! YUMMY!

Saturday we went to the beach and found a bug infested cave right out of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! CREEPY!!! And we went to a pool to swim and relax in the sauna. Then more moving. This time, Jackie's "boyfriend". He wanted some furniture rearranged in his house. I had a new drink over there. A Bianco. It was quite refereshing! Campari and a lemon wedge, I believe. Then we played cranium and tried some aged beer. Again, quite yummy. Jesse and Rick were the Cranium champs!.

Then Sunday, we took outdoor showers! Which I must say is quite AWESOME to stand there, looking at the ocean while being sprayed with a flowing stream of warm water. The weather was perfect, there was not the least bit of chill in the air. Then we went for a hike to the "Hot Spot" on the Gualala River (I know I am not spelling that right.) And then back home.

We were so happy to be rid of that rental truck. The little stationwagon felt sooo nice!

Although Sea Ranch was so beautiful, it's good to be back. Now, if I can only survive work...

Another weekend, gone by....

Got a little tipsy on Friday. Okay, a little more than tipsy. BLAH I hate getting that drunk. Luckily, I had Laura and Daren to take care of me!

Saturday, I went on a nice little bike ride. I rode over to the bagel store, where the worker proceeded to tell me how crazy I was and gave lectures on drinking my juice so that I didn't overheat. SHEESH! It was hot, but not that hot!

Saturday night was so much fun! We (my mom, laura and I) took my grandpa to see Singing in the Rain at the Woodminster Ampitheater in the Oakland hills (Joaquin Miller Park). It was awesome!! The play was hilarious and just really well done!

Sunday, I drove back home and was just a bum. Ahhhhh so nice sometimes.

too bad I had to come back into work today and then go to class tonight. I think I will stop by Starbucks on my way and grab a coffee and a CD. heehee

I don't know what is about BLT's, but I LOVE them!! I love the chewy crispy salty taste of bacon mixed with the juicy sweetness of tomatoes. I like to add avacados and cheese to mine also. Hoppy makes a darn good BLT (although, I REALLY liked their BSTC - Bacon, Spinach, Tomato, Cucumber - too bad they took it off the menu). They put a red pepper aioli on theirs. Jonathans in Alameda makes a wonderful BLAT. And that place in Idaho had an excellent BLAT with cream cheese. Ahhhh.....

Friday!!! WooHooo!!!!

Yet another week has gone by. Busy busy busy! So, here I am. The bosses are away! YAY!! I am reading Dogbert's guide to management. heehee.

Last night was movie night! I had chinese food (from Cooking Light) and a bottle of Copolla Bianco (so yummy) and I watched Vacation and Strickly Ballroom. I need to start watching more movies. I have kinda slacked off. Perhaps next week I will even hit Tower on bargain nights. There are a lot of newer movies I have not seen, yet want to.

I am a little sleepy today. Drats! I hate that. Hopefully I can sleep in a little tomorrow. I can't wait for the cocktail party tonight! I have two dresses lined up. We'll see which one looks the best.

I had wanted to do 3 things this summer. I didn't get to do any of them. So, maybe I can do 2 of them this fall. I wanted to go to Reno (I like gambling, I'll admit it!) and I wanted to go rafting (now out of the question, maybe next summer....) and I wanted to have a cocktail party. I realize I am going to one tonight, but I want to host one. I want to make h'orse D'evours and I want it to be somewhat intimate and I want everyone to have the proper attire. I am snooty. I know.

I am getting kinda hungry. I have a BLT for lunch (no avacado. :o( ) But what I really want is Veal Oscar with mushroom turnovers. YUM! I love bernaise sauce....

Well, enough blogging for now. Back to work.

Am very very very sleepy right now and I really don't know why!! I would like to wake up. I decided to try a Dr. Pepper. Maybe that will pick me up.

I had a great morning. Did some laundry. Went to the Fox and Goose for a breakfast meeting. Yummy. Pub Grill with Chicken Apple Sausage. Although, I love their Welsh Rarebit sauce, so I think next time, I will get a side of that.

I want to go home. I don't want to be at work. My eyes are fried from trying to read numbers of illegible maps. GRRRRR..... So, I thought, why not take a break and blog a little.

Went to Target at lunch. Got gift bags for the lovely birthday ladies! And, I got a little something for myself. And since Daren is having a bad day, I picked up a little "pick me up" present for him too.

At the mall the other day, I found the perfect little gift for Laura! She will love it! I like to buy little things for people.

well, unfortunately, my time with my blog is up. Back to work. BAH HUMBUG!!

Good morning!!!

Ahhhhh what a wonderful evening I had yesterday! The weather was a little rainy and grey as I was leaving work, but as I was approaching home, I noticed blue skies above Downtown! YAY!!!

I jumped on my cruiser and rode to the mall (with a pitstop at the library to return a book on tape). It was great ride! I love riding my bike. ahhhhhh..... While there, I got an awesome birthday present for Maria. Luckily my cruiser has a basket!

Then, I came home and cleaned the bathroom and tub. Believe you me, it needed it!

I decided, that since I had mostly veggies at lunch yesterday ( we had Italian style at the seminar - peppers, sausage, sauteed veggies, caesar salad - not Italian, I know- and pasta) that I would treat myself to pizza last night. So, I had a frozen California Pizza Kitchen pizza and a beer and sparkeling water. And I read. Nice and relaxing.

Tomorrow, my boss's boss is coming up from Home Office in Santa Ana, and we are having a breakfast meeting at The Fox and Goose!! YUMMY!!! Plus, it starts at 8:30, so I can sleep in some, or get some chores done in the morning.

Okay, must get more coffee!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CALIFORNIA!

Yes, that is right, on this day (September 9) in 1850, California was admitted to the Union and became a state.

Wow.

So, today we held a water boundaries class. I had to talk for a little bit. I sucked. I participated in Speech and Debate in High School. But I knew my stuff then. The problem with today was I don't really know much on the topic I talked about. Therefore, I was nervous and was reading off my paper. Grrrr... I know I would've looked better and sounded better if I knew my material better. Sucky Sucky Sucky. Better luck next time.

I had wanted to ride my cruiser to the mall and stop by the park for some Frisbee after work. But it is stormy. Stupid weather, ruining my plans! Maybe I will rent a movie instead.

Woohoo!! It's Friday! I can not wait for the weekend! Although I had a short week, I still can't wait. Grrr.... I had just typed out this blog and when I pushed post, it gave me the log in . Now I have to type it all out again.

The big news is that I got made supervisor of out admin this morning. I am excited. I think I will be better able to deal with my frustrations since now I can do something about it. Although, I am a little pissed since one of the other supervisors is snickering and laughing since I got "stuck" with him. There are other things here at work that are pissing me off. But I won't go into them now.

I guess that is all. Although I know I am forgetting something because the previous blog was a lot longer.

Another day at work. At least it is flying by! I have just the right amount of work to do, and it's nice. Now, if only I had the authority to fire someone, my day would be complete. He drives me insane!! I swear, one day I am gonna crack! But I think Erin is closer to that than I am.

Last night I went to my first CA Land Surveyors meeting. It was exciting in the fact that I have joined a "society", but for the most part, the meeting was a little boring. Although, I did meet some really nice people. So that is always good.

I can't wait to get off of work and go home and finish my laundry, perhaps clean the bathroom, try to change the lightbulb in the kitchen. I meant to have Daren do it, but we were so rushed. Not that I can't change the lightbulb myself, it's just that I am not quite tall enough, and my little stepstool just doesn't cut it. I will need to balance on a chair I suppose. Then I will pack and bake! I have a menu planned out for tomorrow night. Since Saturday is pretty much Daren and my first anniversary, (Wow a year has already gone by!) I want to cook a nice dinner and dessert. I am sure he will love it.

I am also looking forward to seeing Laura's laundry room this weekend! I am sure the shelves are a vast improvement!

Well, enough blogging for today. I am back from the canyonlands! What an amazing weekend I had!!! ahhhh.. how I wish I was still there. On Friday, I visited with mom and we went to Zelda's for dinner. Daren was coming down, but he wasn't leaving till later, and he was going to stop and get in and out. So, mom and I are stuffing our faces with spinach pizza and salad when Daren calls and says he is in Sac and missed the turnoff for in and out. So he joined us and helped finish off the pizza and salad!

Luckily I had gotten off work early on Friday and did everything then, like packed, made breakfast sandwhiches to be popped in the toaster oven before we left and set the coffee pot up. BECAUSE, as soon as we got home, I crashed!! I was sooo tired! We got up then next morning and were on the road at 7am. We leisurely made our way to Utah. Stopping in Tahachapi for lunch and olives. We got olives stuffed with cocktail (pearl) onions. Yum!

Our next stop was in Nevada, just on the border. We stopped at this casino and rode the shooting gallery/log ride. I won 116 to 79! WooHoo!! Then Daren did the Drop Zone (whatever it is called!) ride. I watched. And we decided to pass on the roller coaster. Then, we needed change for the valet, so of course we had to have a hagendaas. Vanilla Swiss Almond. YUM.
Next stop was Vegas. Mandalay Bay. I showed Daren Red Square, but it was too crowded. We made our way to House of Blues, and passed numerous roulette wheels where the zeros (my numbers) had hit 3 times in the past plays. But we didn't play. We went straight to the food. We had a bunch of appetizers and salads. So much food! But so yummy!

Next we drove over to Quarks Cantina! Woohoo!! That was fun! We had White Russians. No Warf Core Breaches for us, we were driving. We went to check out the ride, but it was $30 a person!!! NO WAY!!!!

Back on the road, and finally arrived in Hurricane, UT at midnight. We fell right asleep and were up at 7 the next morning, ready for a day of hiking. Thanks to mom, we got into all the parks for free (national park pass) and we hiked through the middle of the Virgina River (never hiked barefoot through a river before). On that hike we saw a chunk of the canyon fall about 300 feet in front of us! (scary!!!) and a 10 point buck hop out of the bushes right in front of us!

We next hiked up to the 3 emerald pools. Which were cool, but would've been better if there was more water in the falls.

Found this great little restaurant just outside of the park and I had pecan encrusted trout with anduille sausage gravy. Daren had the world's most stuffed chimichanga! and beer of course. We came back to the room and swam! Then had a martini and watched Dumb and dumder.

On Monday, we found a little WWII deli and had bagel sandwhiches while watching gunsmoke. Then headed over towards Bryce. We went through this tunnel that goes through the middle of a rock! So cool!!! We never made it to Bryce. Instead, we found an ice cave, and lake made by a volcano (which we drove across!!) and went on a death defying hike to a waterfall! I thought I was going to die as we hiked along the sheer edge of a cliff!

We next went up to Cedar Breaks National Monument. But didn't do any hikes. Hunger pains were too strong. So We went into Cedar City and gorged ourselves on Sonic's Big Cheese burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes (this was our lunch/dinner) and then moved on to Upper Zion, Kolab. Where we drove to the top and then did a hike to digest. Upper Zion is much smaller than lower. It only has 3 trails. We did one, because we were getting tired.

We came back to the room, played minature golf and watched the sunset. Then went swimming and sat in the hot tub. Then back to the room for martinis and pass the pigs!

Ahhhh so much fun!

Okay, lunch time is over, must get back to work. I decided to take on another project rather than put together my report. I will do that later today. I just like being busy. :o)

So, at lunch, I went to Big 5 and got some really cute and super comfy Cargo shorts. I needed them. So I am happy I found some. It's hard finding clothes that I like and fit well. I have a lot of "cheap" clothes. I need to dump 80% of what I have and start fresh. Not to mention my clothes are old. I also need to go through and junk 80% of my apartment! Oh well, someday. If and when I move maybe....

So, no Sally today. But my Big 5 haul was quite nice. I also got a shirt and a sports bra and some socks. All perfect for this weekend! Zion and Bryce, here I come!!!

I also thought about getting a Frisbee Golf Bag. But I have PLENTY of bags. I don't need anymore. One them will work just fine for next weekend when Daren Colin and I hit the course in Santa Cruz. I should see what Julie is doing and invite her along!

Have you ever noticed that when you are awaiting something, time goes by soooo slowly?! I swear this week is dragging by! But, at least my morning is flying. Let's hope the rest of the day does too. I don't have much. I HAVE to finish my report. Basically I am procrastinating. Once I sit down, it will fly too. I have all the material, I just have to organize it. Then have someone check it. It's the organizing thing that I am avoiding. I need to talk to someone about the other project that I am supposed to be QC'ing. I just can't find anything, and it's so frustrating! I also want to redo my notes from class last night. The nice thing about taking a class for work is that you can do the homework or work on it at work. heehee

I also HAVE to get my presentation down and ready for the 9th. I don't want to do that. BLAH.

I am so excited for this weekend! It's going to be so much fun! I can't wait.

The Greek food festival is going on this weekend. I wonder if it starts Friday and if I can get my dinner there?...

I just got paid, and I am seriously considering going back to Sally and buying some more pedicure stuff. Like the foot soak or foot scrub. Or maybe both!

So, tonight, I have to clean and pack. Those cats are mess machines!!! grrr... I think Daren needs to toilet train them! heehee

Well, I suppose I will get back to my work.

TTFN!

Hello!

I went to Sally on my lunch. Ahhh I could go crazy in there. But I didn't. But I wanted to. I did however get feet and leg aromatherapy spa pedicure lotion. They had a whole line that I wanted. Foot soak, foot scrub and many tools. But I was good. I just got the lotion since my benefit foot cream is almost gone.

So, it's Wednesday. That means class tonight. Bah humbug! I like the class. It's nice in that there is no homework. And it's good becuase we basically do 2 problems per class. The first one we all do together. The second one we do on our own, and then go over it. The problem is the problems are complicated and take FOREVER to figure out and solve. So, I am sitting there, waiting for it to be time to go over the problem. As I am sure half the class is. And when we finally go over it, that takes some time and it's really late when I get out! On Monday, I got out at 9:45!

My day is going by slow. And I hate that. Also, I am kinda falling asleep. I need to wake up! I am really craving Hoppy. I haven't eaten there in FOREVER!!! Ahhhh kettle chips......

The weather report said it was going to be scattered thunder showers all day. But, it looks pretty sunny to me. Although, it was very grey and cloudy this morning. Last time they predicted thunder storms (last Friday) it was pouring all day!! Not to mention the loudest thunder I think I have ever heard! It literally rattled the windows!

I like the rain. I hope it does rain today.

Class lasted until 9:45 last night!!! Ugh! It felt good to sleep in and not have to rush and hit the highway. But I am still a little sleepy. And it was so nice to have Ginger up on the bed next to me. Although, Coco tried to come up too and Ginger said No Way Jose! and smacked her down. Ahhhh what entertainment pets bring!

I suppose I will give up on this project I am trying to plot. What I am supposed to do is "QC" this drawing that an outside engineer did, becuase I guess in the past, there have been mistakes. And I think it is always good to double check, and have someone else double check. So, this is ongoing, I have a bunch that I am supposed to do on my free time. The last one was very clear, the drawing had each item labeled. It was so nice. This new project, I can't find/figure out any items so I am having a really difficult time getting started! And it's frustrating me. So, I think I will put that aside and work on something else. But I would like to get this done! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................

I forgot to mention one very important thing. Friday did not start off to hot though. Daren and I had at first planned to go to Capitola/Santa Cruz, but when we found out that the band we had wanted to see wasn't playing until Saturday, we scrapped that idea, since we both have been running around lately. We wanted to take it easy. So, D thought it would be nice if I brought my bike down so we could go on a bike ride. I whole heartedly agreed. BUT, I wanted to take my cruiser. So, I put the bike rack on the back of my bug, put on my cruiser and off I went. Got on the Freeway and UHOH!!! the bike rack started to tilt sideways. I quickly got off at the first exit and pulled into a gas station. I Then tried t put the bike in the back of my car, it did not fit. Meantime, I am sweating like a pig, there is traffic all around, my phone is ringing and this guy, whom I think was homeless, kept trying to help me. Not that I didn't appreciate his help, I just didn't want it right then. Needless to say, I couldn't get the bike in. So, I put the bike rack back on, and proceeded to drive home via surface streets. The rack was titling and I had to stop about every other block and adjust it. I finally got home, and stuffed my old crappy bike into my car (which yes, in fact, does fit!) and made my way to the bay. Although I started my trek at 4 (actually about 4:20 along with my stop at Hoppy) I didn't leave Sac until 5:45. which actually worked out nicely because I avoided all the traffic.

Saturday I went on a nice bike ride, then excellent lunch with my mom and Daren at my favorite sushi plave in Alameda. So yummy, although, we got there right when they were closing, so we didn't get "special" treatment. We heard all about my mom's week in Capitola with the family. After that, D and I headed to the store to get fixins for our BBQ, which by the way was a HUGE success!! We had a blast! And I was glad that Laura didn't have to host and clean up afterwads.

Sunday was a take it easy day. Slept in, woke up, played some Cate Archer, cleaned, ate breakfast, watched movies then hit the Frisbee golf course and Pyramid. And ended the day with hacky sack and puerto Rico.

Now, I am at work, and don't really want to be. What else is new, right? But the good thing about blogs is you can write on them and no one really knows that you are not doing work. Ahhhh

But, alas, I think I must get back to my realy work now.

Good luck with Jury duty tomorrow, Laura!

I SURVIVED LALAPOLLOOZA!!! Barely. I fell asleep at the show. Call me Joe Fu! Poor Daren, had to put up with my narcolepsy. I am so embarrased. Oh well, that was yesterday. Today is another day. I really enjoyed the Donna's. And A perfect Circle. We had a lot of fun, but the food/beverages are just too dang expensive.

I made it to work, a little late, but I am here. I do not want to be here. I am tired of work. I need to win this lotto thing.

Yesterday we had a wonderful breakfast with Laura. Got to hear all the details on her pregnancy. WooHoo!!! I am gonna be an auntie! I am a little scared.

I have been very bad this week. I have not had one home cooked meal!!! Friday, went to the fair and had a corndog and an eggroll. Although, I did have a spinach salad (that I made) for lunch. Saturday, picnic food - grilled veggies, pitas with chicken and pasta. Sat dinner - the most absolute best squid I have ever had!! EVER!. Sunday, a mushroom turnover, pesto eggs and curry potatoes, and Pizza my heart. Monday, bagel, sandwhich (hail caesar, from Safeway) and In and Out. Yesterday, Alberts hippie breakfast, BLT from Jonathans, pretzel and a sausage from the concert. Then today, since I came from the bay again, McD's for breakfast and I am really craving a mexican caesar salad from Chevy's. So, maybe I will get that to go.

I also have to figure out how to get the cats from mom's. Hopefully there is time to stop before class tonight. That way I can see Scooter also.

Too much to do, too little time....

On that note, must be getting to work now...

Hello all!!
So, it's been awhile, I know. I am sorry. So busy!! :o(
I made the Thai Shrimp pasta and it was good! Although, I forgot to get Chili paste, so it wasn't super spicey. :o(

This weekend was my company, and although they didn't have a raffle (DAMMIT!) I did have a lot of fun! I got Bath salts and body lotion. There were belly and sword dancers there, and henna artists. I have a cute little tailess Gecko/ frog on my arm. I was tempted to ride the camel, but it was too dang hot! We drank them dry of the Sierra Nevada (heehee, not really, they received a 5 gallon pony by mistake so ran out of the good stuff by the time we were on our 2nd cups). Blah. had to switch to Bud. Luckily we had some Hoppy in the car. We also played some frisbee with my Russian coworker Tatiana and her daughter. Daren's favorite part was the rice!! Oh My God! That stuff was horrid!! It looked so good too. I think it had some yogurt in it or something, and it had gone WAY bad!!! We noticed they took it out of the buffet line. THANK GOD!!!!

This weekend was also the beginning of Capitola. It was nice to see the family. Although, not that many people were there. But Baby Jared is soooo cute! He looks just like Rajill. Rhondi got a little irritated when I said that. Apparently everyone says that, so she is feeling sad that Jared has none of her looks. I think things will change though.....

There is one piece of SUPER IMPORTANT news. But I am not sure if I have permission to say. Will keep you updated on that.
heehee

Well, I suppose I should be getting back to work. BLAH. Tonight is my first night of class. I had hopes of going rafting, but I can see that will not happen. :o(
This coming weekend is my company picnic. It should be fun! The previous two were. There are also 2 parties going on. But I don't think we will go to either. Their loss. HAHAHHA. Although, Wing Bowl did sound like fun. I think we are going to go to Capitola/Santa Cruz this weekend, after the picnic, but I have to talk to D$.

Well, I know this is short, but I must start to get some work done. I think I need another cup of coffee though. And actually, I can't really do what I want to do (my survey) becuase my supervisor was looking it over and I have to wait for him to give it back. In the mean time I am working on this ongoing project that I really don't want to do. The hardest part is getting started. Ain't that the truth! but, once I get going, it will be fine. I just need to figure out what drawing I have to use. And believe me, that is the hard part.

Lunch time at last! Actually, my morning is flying by. I love it! I just wish I wasn't feeling so stressed. It's actually more frustration than stress. I am trying to enter in my points from a survey. And they are just not coming out right. I just talked to my supervisor though, I was using the wrong command. I was using bearings instead of turning angels. This makes perfect sense to me. And I feel so much better. It's just now, I have to completely redo the whole thing and figure out how to make a starting point, since I didn't exactly tie in the boundary. I think I can pull this off. :o)

Next on my list is my boss's computer problems. He insists on seperating himself from the company. We have Earthlink DSL, not a company LAN. We used to use only MACS (my boss HATES PC). Now we have PC's and MACS for AutoCAD. But my boss only uses Mac. BUT, the rest of the company has pc's. Then, we don't have an IT department. Our company does. But not our office. AND, even if we call, they are PC, not Mac. Grrrr... Anyway, his email is not working. Guess who has to "fix it". BLAH.

So, here I am, trying to ignore my work duties for a little bit, enjoying my pasta with edamame, salmon and bok choy. Dreaming of the glass of wine I will have when I get home. Ahhhhhhh....

Well Helllllooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great weekend! Went to yumalicious sushi on Friday, then tried this new martini jazz bar called Kelly's. What a great name!

On Saturday, saw the Matrix reloaded on Imax. It was ok. Then had Indian dinner with Laura, Chris, Butch and Daren. Then watched Monty Python all night! Woohoo!! Then Sunday was a great girls visiting day. My favorite was the chocolate sampling. heehee

But now, I am back at work. Bah humbug!!!But actually, it's not so bad. I had to go to West Sac on my lunch hour to pick up my new mailbox key. I haven't been able to check my mail in a week. So, you know what was in my mailbox? Junk Mail. I hate that crap. And there was one bill. Oh, and an invitation to a party! WooHoo!! But it was nice to go home, even if it was for a couple of seconds. But I got my new dvd/vcr player unloaded. I can't wait to set it up.

So, I found out the State Fair is from 8/15-9/1. I will have to make time to go. I love the fair. I like the exhibits. And the food. heehee.

Luckily today is not so hot. It's actually perfect weather. Hopefully it will last. This weekend, I want to go hiking in Big Trees, then go over to Twain Harte for a little tour. Daren has never been. And I think he needs to. heehee.

Well, I suppose I shall get back to work. But I am craving a Caesar Salad. :o( I wish there was a good takeout Salad nazi place around.

Well, it has been awhile since I've written. I am fullt addicted to Heroes of Might and Magic IV. The problem is, I want to do just one more battle (each time) and before I know it, it's after midnight. Grrrr.. I must break this cycle. Work is going well. I went surveying last week. I was in charge. That was scary. There was no one above me to tell me what I was doing wrong. It was like getting thrown in the lake to learn to swim. Now, I have to take the info I collected, and plot it up in Autocad. Easier said than done.

Over the weekend, We (mom, D& and I) went to a really yummy breakfast place. I was actually craving the potatoes and eggs I had there today. Yum. Then Daren and I checked out Pyramid. Other than the fact that they didn't have a license for some of the beers we wanted, the place was cool. I really liked the building. We also saw (with my mom) League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I LOVED it!!! So Cool. I want to see Matrix reloaded this weekend. Maybe see Pirates again also. Who knows.

I think August is party month. I had three party evites in my mail today. Plus one that I already knew about. Four parties!! Sheesh!

Since some of my friends are in Ireland, writing to me about the guiness, powers and fish and chips, I think I need to go to a british pub and get fish and chips. I know of a really good one here in Sac. Streets of London. But I will have to check for one in the Bay. Maybe we could have fish and chips this weekend. I dunno, we shall see.

Well, I suppose it's time to get back to work.

Caio!

Hello all!!
Still haven't made it to Pyramid. I was thinking maybe this weekend. I got some new games for my computers that I think will keep me indoors at night. Last night, I was playing and before I knew it, it was 1am!!!! So, needless to say, I am a little tired today. But, it has been a productive day at work. I have cleaned out my inbox and cleared off my desk. I have also finished all my projects (minus one survey that I will do on Thursday) and can now begin new ones. Although, that doesn't sound all that great, does it?

It's a good thing that I got new games, becuase my VCR is still in the shop!!! SHEESH!!

I am planning my shopping list. I need milk. Also, I want to make Peach Cobbler on Friday. So I need some ice cream. I think I will see if mom can bring me home some peaches. I miss the days when Uncle Stan would gives us crates of peaches. AHhhhhhh the good ole days. Anyway, I also plan (on Friday) on having Talapia (grilled) with a sauce of herbs, feta, olives, peppers, onions, tomatoes. Very Mediterranean. And grilled artichokes. Yummy. Then, for a little appetizer, because D$ is always hungry when he arrives, I am going to have coconut shrimpies.

So, back to my list!
Ciao!

Well Phooey!!!

I just got back from my attempt have a cold one at the new Pyramid Brewery in town. UNFORTUNATELY, it was a private party tonight. I guess opening night is tomorrow. Luckily I decided to go alone. Oh well, now I can save some cash and have a brewski at home. :o)

Right now I am eating yummy dinner which is only 3 weight watcher's points!! I have pita and cilantro jalapeno hummus. I will also have an artichoke in a few minutes. I am kinda glad pyramid was closed because there is this series on History Channel this week called hit the road. And on Monday it was all roadside eats. And, I have always wanted to drive Route 66 and stop at all the funky diners. I have been on Route 66 in Arizona and New Mexico. I love the Owlburquerque cafe. :o)

I can't remember what tonights theme is, but I know that when I looked earlier, I really wanted to watch it.

Happy hump day!!!
Why is my week going by so slowly!?!?!!? Grrrr....

Pyramid opens today. I think I will have to stop by and christen it tonight, and destress. Now, the question is, do I go alone, or do I ask someone to go with me? This is a tough decision hmmmmm......

I wish my VCR wasn't in the shop, becuase I really would've loved to have done some yoga this morning to help me prepare for work. But alas, here I am stressed since the moment I walked in the door. My strategy is to just sit her at my desk, not say a word unless spoken too and drink my coffee and water. Too bad I forgot my book. I would've read that at lunch. I am reading the final book in the Dune saga. Perhaps I will look at house prices during my lunch. I want a house. Real bad. I want a yard where I can plant veggies and have a cutting garden. And I want a dog and central heating and air. Why do the prices have to be so dang high?!??! There should be a law saying some housing has to be affordable to single people. For that matter, recipes should be for single people too. I hate cooking something and then eating for the rest of the week. It gets a little tiresome.

I cannot wait until tomorrow and Daren gets back! Rich and Maria are getting married this weekend (WOOHOO!!!) so it will have to be next weekend before we can get some alone time in.

Well, I guess I really should be getting back to work.

Cheers!

Ahhhh it's Friday. Thank god!!!

My work week has progressed as the week progressed. Although, I am still slightly irritated at the fact that I am not going out surveying. I have decided that after I get my certificate, in one more year, I will look for a new job. My job has changed so much since I first started, and I can only see it changing more. I know that I want to be out in the field more, and I just don't see it happening here. But I do want the certificate, and this may seem nasty, but why not get it when my company is paying for it? Does that make sense?

Anyways, I BBQed the other night on my little Webber. Unfortunately it is not big enough for beer can chicken, but my snapper and artichokes were cooked to perfection! ahhhh....

This weekend should be fun, bachelorette party and tea at Love Joy's in the City. And Pedicures Sunday morning. ahhhh... sounds nice.

Am having a slightly better day. I didn't stay last night. I said screw it. One time I stayed until 4am and then had to hottail it to the airport for a 6am flight to New Orleans (all for work). Never again. My map had printed, but apparently the image was corrupted and that is what took so long to print. I fixed that problem and am now printing happily. Although the client is not happy at all. But what can I do. I am already being too nice to him. I think in general, I am too nice.

I didn't get much sleep last night. I woke up at 1 am and was up from then on. I think I was just stressed. Actually, I thought about relieving my stress last night by buying a new convertible bug. But I didn't. But I was close.

Here it is the middle of the week and it's going by too slowly. :o(

I swear to god I am having the worst day! That's a plus!

OK. I really am not enjoying life right now. Becuase I got stuck with this stupid project. I was not able to go out on a survey. But then again, who knows if I even would've if I didn't have this project. So instead, Heather an Erin are out on it. Staying at the Coast Santa Cruz hotel and eating at ShadowBrooke in Capitola. It seems like I never get to go out anymore. It is always Heather and Erin. And that really bites! I would love to spend 3 out of my 5 days out in the field. I think I need to find me a masseur to marry. Or at least find me a sugar daddy so that I can spend my weekends at the mudbaths, drinking wine and destressing. Most of the time, my job is not bad. It's not the actual work that upsets me. It's everything else. Meaning, the people I work with and deal with. Grrrr... At least today is relatively quiet.

I had a great weekend. The weather wasn't the greatest. It was pretty darn cold. And yesterday, my shoes were soaked with rain and I had to wear mom's home. thanks, mom! But the ocean and redwoods were beautiful. Although the trees got a little redundant after awhile. We were both kinda wishing we didn't have a 3 night minimum and that we could've moved on. But oh well. It was still nice.

Now I am back in workmode. Dreaming of my next vacation. Let me emphasize dreaming. Blah.

The next two weekends are going to be busy! Bridal shower and bachelorette party. Then wedding the weekend after. My whole summer has been busy.

I want to plan a rafting trip. I have to find out when the gang is going/returning from Ireland. Or I could say screw them and raft alone!!! I am here in beautiful Crescent City. Actually, on the border of Oregon and Californina. I spent most of today in Brookings, OR. But this morning, we went for a walk along the beach at St. George Point. Saw the lighthouse. There were tons of tidepools full of little crabbies and other sea creatures. the beach was full of crab carcasses and mussel shells. Then we noticed a bunch crows feasting on something. We took the binaculars and thought maybe a seal. We walked on, looked at more tidepools. On the way back, I noticed some birds perched on a fence. They didn't look like crows. I took the binaculars and much to my horror, realized they were vultures!!!!!! EEWWWWW I have never seen vultures and these were about 20 feet away!!!! And, upon further inspection, their feast was an Elk. or so it appeared. We then went on the Battery point lighthouse, and Whaler's island groin rock. Next we hit the brandy distillary. yum!

Yesterday, we saw a heard of wild elk. they were so pretty! and we sat on our deck and watched the fireworks. tomorrow, we are going to Jedadiah Smith Park, Where Return of the Jedi, and, are you ready, GNOME MOBILE were filmed!! Ahhh... this is a great weekend! Thanks mom! :o)

Hope everyone else had a great 4th! I'm jealous of the rafters, but I am sure I will get a chance to go this summer.

Hello!!

I wish I knew how to post a picture! I have some great ones from the weddding. Hmmmm... I think I will have to do a little research.

Anyway, thank god I am no longer at work. I have no time for anything, what with trying to get this project done. I tried really hard not to work over 8 hours, but it looks like I am going in early tomorrow. And it sucks because I don't get paid overtime. Oh well.

So, Daren left for Sweden today. I hope he enjoys his time with Oliver, which I am sure he will.

Not much else to say right now. I guess back to scanning. What an awesome weekend that was! The weather was absolutely perfect (although, I did get sunburnt ) ! And Lee and Kallie's wedding was just gorgeous! We all had such a great time. During the day, D and I biked around and saw the sites, then hooked with everyone else for nights of eating, drinking and dancing till the break of dawn. Literally. My new found favorite dance partner is Joe Fu! Man, can that boy move! Daren and I were kinda the wussies of the bunch. We didn't drink as many shots and as much beer as everyone else. And we went to bed early. 4am, 3am and midnight, respectfully. It's nice to be back. but I wish I was still there. On Sunday, we rode our bikes down to River Run and rode the chair lift to the top of Bald Mountain. BREATHTAKING! The view was amazing! I can't wait for the pictures! They are being dropped off today! Joe tried to steal the camera, cuz at the wedding there were these two "hot chicks" that Colin and Joe were talking to, so I snapped their picture. Joe now has a new poster. Heehee

Sadly, we had to come back to the real world. Poor Daren, he started getting sick on the second plane ride. But when we got home, I checked my mail and discovered that I had passed the LSIT!!!!
WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I am soo so so so so happy. ahhhhh

Well, now I must really face the reality and start my work, of which there is a TON!!!

Toodles!

Look D, no food! :p

Another use for Chopsticks!

Getting CD's out of the stereo when you cat jumps on it and causes the cd to get stuck!

Whew, Tuesday night! Just got through making tomorrow night's dinner. I find that it's a lot easier to make it the night before when you know you are going to be busy. Even though D$ probably won't be arriving until around 8-9ish, I still have a lot to do tomorrow. I figured it would be easier to cook tonight. Then, not that many dishes tomorrow. Just throw the burgers (Tuna!) and artichokes on the grill and we are set! WooHoo!!!

Then, I have to pack and take the cats to my mom's. Plus, I want to do my yoga tape. I have been wanting to do it all week, but just run out of time. My legs are really tight, and this might sound weird, but I love stretching them! And usually I can touch the floor no problem, but lately.... So, I gotta start doing that. I love riding my bike, but they are working on all the roads, so it's really hard to. I could go on the bike trail, but I'd rather I had someone with me for that.

I was gonna try to get some gaming in tonight, but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen, so I guess I will get my book and read. So many books, so little time! I need the new Tom Robbins!!! Villa Cognito! I still need to get Daren to start reading him. My favs are Even Cowgirls get the Blues and Skinny Legs and All. Altough, Jitterbug Perfume was good too. It sucks, because I used to have them all! And now I can't find them. I guess I sold them at a garage sale. I also had the Odessey by Homer, but I guess I sold that too. I went to a used book store the other day to look for that one, they didn't have it, but I did find John Stienbeck's King Arthur's tales! WOOHOOO!!! John Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors (we have the same birthday!) and I have been wanting some kind of King Arthur book, so it was a great find!!

Well, must go finish the salad! Then on to Heretics of Dune!

Another Monday.
Luckily I have a VERY short week! I can't wait. Idaho, here we come!! WooHoo!! I am not sure if there will be time to do everything that I want. But I want to get at least one hike in, and I hope we can still rent bikes and travel around town that way. Partying at night sounds fun too! Since I have no idea what kind of night life Ketchum has. But I defintely want to go to the Ernest Hemmingway Memorial and the skating rink. I think we should be able to fit that all in.

This weekend was so much fun! Daren came up in time to enjoy the free concerts in the park. We saw a really good band, Low Flying Owls. Then we went to Bandaras for Martinis and Artichokes. Yum! Saturday we took a brewery party bus the A's vs Giants, and we had a gallon of beer each!!!! Needless to say we weren't feeling so hot the next day. D got kicked out, so he has now sworn off baseball. I still like it though! :p Actually, we got thrown out for looking for my grandpa in the handicapped section. Coincidently, he didn't have a handicap seat and basically got thrown out for looking for one. Stupid A's ushers. I blame Raiders fans!!! Just because they riot doesn't mean everyone is a trouble maker!

On Sunday, we saw Beck at the Greek Theater in Berekely, I have never been there before, and it was awesome! My mom warned us to wear hats, and she was right!! We brought blankets, but next time, I think we need cushions/pads. Hmmmm... maybe I will make us some. It was so nice, lounging in the sun, drinking frozen lemonades and watching Beck. He puts on such a good show! His dance moves and band choreography were hystarical! And he did Prince's Erotic City and Nelly's It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes! Daren told me that at Lee's Bachelor party, that was the song he danced to in the nightclub, so I tried to make him dance, but he wouldn't. :o( BUT! In the car, he showed me his dance moves! heehee

Oh yeah!

And I had no idea that Eva Peron and Stalin were mummified!! Can you imagine going to work and see your boss's head in a glass case? (okay, some might enjoy that) but Ewwwwww

Good morning!!!
It was a little chilly when I woke up this morning. Hmmmmm....perhaps I won't roast to death tonight. Last night I watched a really cool show on The Learning Channel. It was all about mummies. Actually, there were three different shows. My favorite mummies out of the shows were the Pedro Midget Mummy and the St. Bees man mummy. They were so cool! But, the third show was the top ten mummies of all times, and the St. Bees Man was number 8. Little Pedro never made it on. Their pick for number one mummy was Ramses the II. Which is cool, but Pedro is only 8 inches high!!!!!! That is creepy!! I once was in San Diego and at Balboa Park, they have a lot of museums, and I saw a traveling mummy exhibit. It was freaky, but sooooo interesting to see an actual mummy. I love watching show and movies (the Imax movie was also very cool) about mummies and pyramids. Hmmmmm.... I think I need to go to Egypt. Although, Mexico would work also. Another interesting thing I saw last night was that people can be mummified naturally. So there were a couple of murder victims that were found, and had mummified naturally, and they were able to track down the killers on some of them. Pretty damn neat!!!

Tonight, I think I will watch the caveman special on Discovery. HOPEFULLY, I won't fall asleep. Last night I fell asleep during the top ten show and missed number 8.

Okay, back to work.

THUNDERCATS.. HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

People kill me. Seriously!!!!! Let's take for instance, my coworker. I like her. But I can't believe what she complains to me about. She doesn't want to do her job, and when she gets more than one project, she goe Ape shit. Everyone else who works on the same thing as her have at least 4 projects at one time, and she is having a cow because she has one!?!?!? C'mon, if you can't take the heat, get out of the fire. That's like school. We are supposed to be taking classes at a JC, but, she doesn't want to give up her nights. So, she is not going. Actually, I am the only one who is attending, yet I am not getting any higher on the totem pole. Grrrr.... So frustrating! And I know it must be frustrating for my boss. But I don't think he is strong enough to be assertive and say no promotions until you go. And he has no clue about the actual work she does because he is never here, and he doesn't pay attention. That is a big issue for me at my workplace. None of the 3 supervisors really know what is going on and who is doing what. And the new admin we hired is getting better, but it still sucks. I say hire someone who is qualified for the position!!!

AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Okay, had to vent. I am really torn on this whole work thing, the things I like are pretty much in balance with the things I don't. So at this point, I guess it's gonna have to take a drastic change to get me to look for another job. I hate job hunting. I suck at interviewing becuase I am nervous and shy and not assertive enough. BLAH

I want Zachary's pizza. Little Caesar's just isn't the same.

So, I went to dinner last night with my gramps and family. We went to this place in Martinez called Bertolas. It was not at all what I thought it would be. But, it was good. And I got to visit with my grampa and hear all about his hip and Ketchum, Idaho. I am going there next week! WooHoo!!! I am eating the leftovers now, but I am still hungry. :o(

I am afraid I may have to go out and get some more. Grrr... Sometimes, I don't mind work. But today, I just don't want to be here. I had an awesome weekend of camping, hiking, and s'more eating. I ate so much this weekend, thank god for the hiking!! It was great though, we hiked up to this waterfall and drank some beers when we got there. We were going to eat our lunches there, but we got invaded by the asshole family. So, we basically had our drinks and moved on. Rich found another trail back, which led us over a creek. Julie and Hilary ran across it, while Maria and I had a little bit of trouble. Thanks for helping me across, Butch! We came across three Banana Slugs on our journeys. One of which was very attached to Julie's shoe. Heehee. The first night we got there, the girls decided to go exploring in the dark, with our cocktails. We found trees that we could crawl inside and look up with our flashlights. That was way cool!! On the way back to camp, Maria ran into a sappling protected by Chicken wire, HAHAHAHHAA. We came back the next day in the daylight, and the wire was shaped like Maria! Too funny.

Shrimpies! Then start preparing for my camping trip this weekend. I also have to pack and do laundry so that I can leave straight from work tomorrow for Alameda.

My day was busy, I like that. I am just now getting a chance to blogg. Let me say this. My new coworker, the Admin, SUCKS ASS!! he is about 30 I am guessing. And today, I had to explain to him that Favorites were a part of Internet Explorer and to view them you had to open Explorer. Grrrrrrrrr......... This is very frustrating.

Well, that's okay, at least my day is over, and I can go home and relax. Thank god I am taking Friday off. It's a sound that brings music to my ears. So, I got invited to go camping up in the Santa Cruz mountains. Should be a blast. I cannot wait! I only wish Daren was coming. But right now we are planning what to bring. Everyone agrees S'Mores are a must! And Julie is bringing Puerto Rico. And we will have fishing poles. I can't wait. This makes up for me missing Reno. BUT I still must go to Reno at least once this summer. As well as go rafting once.

So many weddings. Actually, only 2. But they take up so much time!

I am very very very excited because my BBQ is shipping today! YAY!!! I am gonna christen it with beer can chicken and grilled artichokes I think! Or, if I am cooking for one (which will more than likely be the case), I might do crab. That would be sooo yummy. I can save the chicken for when there is a crowd.

Speaking of BBQ's (cause it wouldn't be a Kellie Blogg without food, right D?) Chris and Laura had an awesome one the other day! And you should've seen the size of that pork loin! LORDY!!!

Speaking of LORDY, yesterday, I go to Walmart at lunch to get some stuff. I get home. Apparently I had left one bag (the bag with everything but the TP) at the register. DOH!!! I called. I had to go out and get it that night.Grrrr.... they couldn't hold it until the next day. Stupid Walmart and their merry-go-round bags!!!

Hmmmm... I still need a gonzo from Starbucks. Maybe I will stop on my way down to the bay on Friday.

Okay, so I needed a battery for my cordless phone. I check online. Walmart has the batteries and they are cheap. I go to Walmart at lunch. I also need tp, deodorant, sunscreen. So I go to Walmart, get everything I need. EXCEPT the battery. Apparently on Walmart Online has them. Grrrrr....

So, Jack in the Box is next to Walmart. I go in. Toys are only 99 cents. Woohoo!! I didn't have to get the meal (although, I did break down and get an oreo shake). The guy is a complete idiot. He thought Animal was Elmo, The Swedish Chef was Emeril and he just had no clue who Fozzie Bear was. My favs are fozzie and gonzo. so I got the fozzie. Although I thought about getting the Swedish Chef for Daren. He was cute. He had a tray of meatballs, and the tray was the Swedish flag.

Now I'm back, heating up my tv dinner. Can you believe 45 minutes?! But, I think they taste alot better when you cook them in the toaster oven rather than the microwave. I can wait. I just had my shake. heehee

Mondays. BLAH! Who needs them?! When I was a kid, I used to love Garfield. I had an Odie stuffed animal. Heehee. I used to love it when he would snuggle in his little blanket and complain about Mondays. Then gorge himself on Lasagna. Why did the lasagna in the comic strip look so much better than real lasagna? But, I love lasagna. I have not had that in forever! That and meatloaf. But those are not the kind of things you eat in the summer. At least not me. I will have to wait for colder weather, I suppose.

So, I had a great weekend. Went up to Clear Lake on Friday to see Big Head Todd and the Monsters. They were awesome! My only complaint, they could've played longer. But that is a small complaint, I guess. Clear Lake has not changed. I went there once as a kid. I remember I liked being out on the lake, but I thought the town was trashy. And guess what? IT IS!!! But we still had a blast. We went out with Joe and Jimmy and Jimmy's g-friend and friend. I got fried. But the tubing was sooo much fun, and hte water was perfect! Daren tried wakeboarding for the first time. I was so proud of him! He got up and satyed up for a little bit. I never would've made it up. We will have to go back for more!!

On the way to clearlake is a petrified forest and "old faithful" geyser.I never knew!! I want to go back and check those out! We also saw Paul Newman's Ranch. Tres Cool.

So, Jack in the Box has muppet kids meals. I need a Gonzo the Great toy. heehee. I will have to go for lunch. Maybe today. I have a WW tv dinner in the freezer, but I think I might just pass on that.

I suppose I should be getting back to work....

Whew, what a day! I have been in Isleton all day today, surveying a boat harbor. Boy was I wishing I could just jump in the water! It looked so nice. And, it reminded me of when we had a boat. We used to go to the Delta all the time. Now, I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a boat! I wish we hadn't sold ours. Oh well. I wish I had a pool also. We were lucky to have a pool when I was growing up. Ahhhhh.... to be a kid again.

Well, I like surveying. I don't like sitting in front of a computer all day, listening to my coworkers talk about how they need to loose weight, while they are sipping on Slim Fast. Then, they eat lunch like at 10am becuase their SlimFast did not fill them up. Go figure. I also don't like answering stupid questions or listening to my boss. heehee. With surveying, I get exercise, I get to be outdoors and I feel like I am accomplishing something. Not typing into a computer. Don't get me wrong, I also like working on the computer, just not everyday.

So, I forgot to mention this yesterday, but the funniest thing happened Friday night. We (Daren and I) were in my bed, asleep. Daren rolled over (keep in mind, he has a King and I have a Queen) and fell off the bed. He hit the dresser, which woke me up. On the dresser was a pint glass FULL of water. I am already busting with laughter at this point, but it gets better. He knocks the glass off, and water gets EVERYWHERE. On him, on the clothes on the floor, on the bed. The glass then lands on his foot. And although this is not funny, I was laughing uncontrollably. Daren's toe, the one next to the pinky, the toenail turned purple/black/blue!!! Poor guy!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

Allergies suck!!
BLAH. I need to find someplace where me and my immune system can live in peace. ahhhh...

So, it's probably about 100 degrees here in Sac. I haven't checked the temp, so I don't know for sure. Maybe I will do that next. Summer is here, and I want to play. Too bad this work thing keeps getting in the way. On Friday, Daren and I are going to see Big Head Todd at Konochti Harbor Resort on Clear Lake. That should be fun! I have never been to Konochti, so I am excited. Also, Daren is going to see if Joe and Jimmy will be in Clear Lake this weekend, and that way we can go wakeboarding!! WooHoo!!! I hope so! I have never been wakeboarding. We are also thinking of going to see Peter Gabriel at Shoreline on Sat. So far, this summer is winding up being full of concerts. Nothing wrong with that.

We got this new guy. I SWEAR, my boss needs some tips in looking at what he needs and finding the right person to do the job. This guy we hired, know absolutely NOTHING!!! It's driving me crazy. Why the hell couldn't we find someone who at least knows how turn on a computer and answer the phone. I feel bad, cause he is a nice guy, he just is kinda dumb. Grrr.... maybe I am too judgemental. Or not. I have to go show him how to use the Xerox machine.

TTFN!

Grumble grumble grumble
It's really hard to go back to work after a 3 day weekend. At least the day flew by! We get a new person tomorrow, so....he is supposed to be doing all the admin work. We shall see.

What I want to know is, why is the weather 95 degrees when I am in town, and 70 when I am out of town?!?!?! My apartment is like an oven! Or, at least it was. Luckily, the window unit does a pretty good job. Unfortunately, it doesn't get into my bedroom. I have a little fan, but it still gets pretty damn warm in here. The cats apparently love it though. They are both passed out, sleeping away!

Well, I had an awesome weekend full of BBQ's, picnics, games and hikes! Woohoo!!! Luckily I did not get sunburned or poison oak!

Well, I am off to read some.
Ciao!

Ahhhhh..the last night of dance class was fun! We learned one new move, that I have to say was pretty easy, once we got the hang of it. Then we went out to Sushi.....mmmmmmmm
So, I was thinking about Chops (there I go, thinking about food again) My filet oscar was great. I know I said it was okay. But that's only because I am spoiled by Outback's crab and my own bernaise. But the food was delicious at chops! My onion rings were so good!

Well, just wanted to say that. I have to paint my nails now and think about what to bring to Chris and Laura's BBQ tonight!

Happy Friday, all!!!!

WooHoo!! Memorial Day Weekend! I cannot wait. Let me just say this, you know it's gonna be hot when it's 6 am and you are already sweating like a pig!

So, went to Chops last night for Ricky's birthday. It's a new Steakhouse across the street from the Capitol building. It was good. The Oyster Rockafeller's were super good and my fillet with Bernaise was ok. I think my bernaise sauce is better though. Heehee. I also think that Esquire Grill, which is owned by the same people, has a better atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, and I really enjoyed it, but I think the wine went to my head. :p

So, after dinner I walked around the corner to check on Pyramid, Looking good!!!! it's almost ready! YAY!

I have to figure out how to post pictures, so I can put some pics of Coco up here. She has really gotten big and friskee!! Her and Ginger get along great and play all the time.

Well, time to start working. And of course, people are calling left and right telling (not asking) us that they forgot to send something and oh, it's due next week. No, I have to find aerial photography, becuase there is no way in hell we are going to be able to fly, like we are supposed to do, and get it here by the end of week. PLUS, they haven't even sent over the info yet. Honestly, I think these people think we only deal with them. On top of that, I've had to go searching through files trying to match address with commitments, because the idiots didn't send commitment numbers (which would've been easy - do a search in the database) GRRRRRRRR..... THEN, I have to have my entire presentation done and outlined by next week. The presentation is in September. I was hoping I could wait until next month, but I guess not.

Well, I have to break down and cancel my reservations at the Peppermill. :o( I like Frida's artwork and all, but I was really looking forward to a weekend in Reno at the Peppermill. I know Reno is kinda trashy, but I like to gamble. And this package included $60 dinner certificate at Peppermill's Italian restaurant, Champagne (woohoo), Frida DVD and museum tix. Oh well, I will just hope I get another opportunity to make it up to Reno this summer. Although, I highly doubt it. My summer is so busy as it is. WWAAAAAAAA!!!! :o(

I cannot wait for the weekend. I really want to just relax. I was thinking of going to the river and swimming and lounging, but we shall see. Since I won't be going to Reno on the 14th, I was also thinking of going rafting then. But, who knows. I do know we are doing something with Daren's mom and Broham & cajun sweetie on Monday. I think it's gonna be Angel Island. I can't wait. I love picnics. Heehee I want to start making food right now!! But NOOOOOO.... I have to wait for some stupid documents. Hmph.

Well, I guess that's all for now! Hope I get in some games of Battle of the Sexes or Cranium! woohoo!! Ooohhh last dance class is Friday! We shall see if D$ has mastered the art of running circles around me!!! :p

Ciao!

Well, I had to take my MAC in to the shop for repairs. Luckily it is a work computer and my company is paying for it. The keyboard was messed up also. There was paper underneath it (what the hell?) and the shift key had fallen off. Too bad the shop can't fix the crack in the case. Oh well. I think I may be getting a new one. Yippee!

In other news, as I was leaving school last night (took my final, Ahhhh Yeahhh!!!) my "check engine light" came on. Grrrrrrrrrr.... I am just hoping that it is nothing too serious. But I do need an oil change and I have been wanting to take it in to get the passenger window looked at. So, this is probably all for the better.

Not much else is new. I am swamped at work. Which is good, cuz it makes the days go by faster. But I must say, I get driven insane by my coworkers. Personally, I think they are a little rude. I mean two just left and came backwith ice cream cones, They could've asked me if I wanted one. This isn't the first time this has happened, either. Oh well, I guess I really don't need one. Plus, I'd rather wait for the good stuff, not some McDonald's crap.

So, I cannot wait for the weekend!! I think we are going to Angel Island with D$'s family. That should be fun. But I also want to go on a bike ride, and maybe even the river. We shall see.

Well, my pizza is ready.
TTFN!!

Good morning and Happy Monday to you all!!!!

Summer is approaching and all I can think about is going rafting, drinking beer and eating outdoors. I can't wait to start doing summertime activities!!! YAY!! Too bad my grill hasn't arrived yet. :o( I was hoping to get it by memorial day, but it doesn't look that is going to happen. Oh well. Beer Can Chicken can wait a few more weeks.

So, I am having a semi crisis here at work. My MAC is slowly deteriorating. I want to reinstal the system, BUT since my computer is a handmedown, I don't have any of the system disks for it. I tried using a later version of the Titanium's systems disks, but that didn't work. HMPHH. I will try going to the website and see if I can download something.

One more week of Dance class!! I like this class, cause the steps are relatively easy for me (although, I keep wanting to step back after the turns). Poor Daren has all the complicated moves. I think we need to go dancing to show off our new moves. I vote for the Top of the Mark or the Tonga Room. heehee.

Well, that's all for now. Stupid knee. I blame Daren for this. If I hadn't gone to the powder to see him, I never would've fallen. So, obviously this is his fault, and not mine! :p

Anyways, I had to go to the gym in Kaiser and I got some new excercises to do. These new ones involve latex.... But getting back on subject, I am supposed to ride my bike for at least 20 minutes a day. So, since I have a nice new cruiser, I decided to take it out for a spin yesterday. The weather was good (only 84 degrees) so I decided to take a long ride and go to the video store (the video storage unit?) WELL, let me tell you it was HELL! The street I usually take (because last summer, my favorite thing was to come home after work, bike to the video store, then relax in the evening with a movie) was all torn up which made it virtually impossible to ride on. When I wasn't bumping around, I was stuvk in tar. I also hit every light at every street. Grrrrrr.. Luckily the ride back was a breeze (thank god for one way streets). But I have decided that tonight's ride will not be to the video store, but rather just around the quiet well maintained streets of Sacramento.

My tummy is a grumblin' so I's better go get some grub!
Happy Trails!

HIIIiiiiiiiiddddddddyyyyyyyy Ho!

Whew, what a weekend!!! Let me just say this first. DO NOT try to get Sushi on a Friday night at 8 o'clock in Alameda. We (Daren and I) could not get into any place we tried!!! And why in the world would a sushi restaurant be closed (Sushi Sue)?!?!! That just makes no sense whatsoever!!! Oh well. We ended up at Asena which was surprisingly not so busy! Mmmmmmmm my gnocchi was soooooo good!!! As was the soup! I was a little disapointed in the salad. The last time I was there, the caesar was to die for. This time it was good, just not as good. It was funny because the little buddah waiter ( the other waiters were rubbing his bald spot for good luck) thought we were soo romantic as we practiced our "tension" while waiting for the food.

After dinner, we headed towards the island where we hooked up with everyone else. That was fun! We got to see, not meet, Kristin's little gangsta man. What I want to know is WHERE THE HELL DID EVERYONE GO?

On Sat, we saw X-Men 2. I think it's much better than the first. I love night crawler. And we saw previews for some really good looking movies! League of Extrordinary Gentlemen (LXG), Stuck on You, and 28 Days Later, to name a few.

Things got a little sticky after that. Daren misplaced the GC I gave him to Biscuits and Blues, and of course, we had planned on going there Sat night. We never found the gift certificate, but that didn't stop us. We went anyways and had a rocking good time. Although southern food doesn't sit well with Daren. poor guy.

Yesterday, we (Laura and I) took our mom to Sonoma for a picninc! We had excellent food and a lot of wine and champagne!!! Mmmmmm... At the Champagne place we had caviar with our drinks! And apparently, earlier they were giving flowers and truffles to the moms. Since we got there right before they closed, we missed out on the flowers and Jazz. But we were able to score a truffle! WooHoo!!

Now it's Monday, and I am trying hard to focus on my work. But I have spring fever. What can I do? I'll tell you! Heeeheee I just bought a weber charcoal grill off of Amazon!
Look out Summer BBQ's, here I come!!!
